Listen, I can’t tell y’all how excited I was to be back in Charleston, SC! I must say I do miss it! One of the things that I miss most is having access to such cool places and such delicious restaurants. I know, I know, everywhere has great food and destinations, I’m just a little biased on what the Holy City has to offer. It’s an elevated, southern experience you can’t get anywhere else! Y’all ready to dive right in?!
Up first are the accommodations: these rooms are elevated and plush for the modern traveler. The rooms have absolutely everything you need. It’s like checking in to a small apartment among cobblestone streets and colorful houses. The room we stayed in was broken up into three sections. The first: a quaint dining space with a bar complete with a record player to enjoy the custom Hotel Emeline record or to ask the front desk for some classics. The second: a living room complete with views of downtown Charleston and a TV to enjoy some down time. The third space: this space consist of your bedroom and spa like bathroom. These beds will have you getting all the rest you know you’ve needed. They are so comfortable! If you don’t believe me, just look at Maverick below lol.
Yes, you can bring your loved one, the whole family, kids and your four legged favorites. We love a pet friendly property! While we were enjoying the property several people asked if there was a doggy area. There isn’t a specific dog potty station, but right outside are several planters and green space for the pups to handle their business. There is also a large dog park a short walk from the hotel. Maverick met a few friends there. Charleston is such a dog friendly town!
Ready for the best experience? Wake up each morning with coffee service delivered right to your room. Grant LOVED this because its no ordinary coffee service. It’s delicious local coffee from their downstairs coffee bar, Clerks. Pastries and in room dining is separate, but definitely available!
Once you get done with your morning coffee and before you run out to explore the Holy City, turn your breakfast table into your mobile office. It’s the perfect spot to catch up on e-mails. You can even take a page from Maverick’s book and do work from the couch while enjoying views of the Charleston Market.
These spa like bathrooms are EVERYTHING! The showers are so big, the vanities are large for two people to get ready. We loved that there was a separate water closet and that there is also a full length mirror. They thought of it all. The bathroom is so big we actually also used it as the place to sit the pup’s water and food bowls. Did I mention he also got to experience the spa like bathrooms? Haha. Ready to wander outside of your room? The property has other great amenities. The first is the property’s fitness center. Fitness enthusiast and those who are a little more serious can get the ultimate workout experience. The gym offers free weights, rowers, dumbbells, Peletons, and a tv with interactive classes available. Grant got a good work out in, I’m still the one in the robe enjoying the room haha.
Once you make it downstairs there is so much more! The main lobby boasts various lounges and work spots for meetings, calls, and just to people watch. You can also get some unique items in the Keep Shop – offering a curated collection of unique items to the area and from local partners. There’s the bustling property coffee shop, Clerk’s. I talk about our experience in the coffee shop here. If you get hungry, you can enjoy a delicious culinary experience at Frannie & The Fox, the property’s restaurant and bar. The absolute coolest experience hands down from a property goes to the Mini Cooper Excursions at Hotel Emeline. The property has teamed up with Mini of Charleston to offer guests a way to explore Charleston with a 4 rental of these custom Mini Coopers. And it gets better! They offer several picnic options to pack your lunch or dinner for a perfect day out adventuring. We had delicious sandwiches from Clerk’s – 10/10 recommend both of the options. I am definitely a chicken salad person and this version is SO good – just try it and thank me later. Turn your picnic into a dreamy experience at Waterfront Park just minutes from the property.
