From Southern Roots to a Midwest Renaissance

The Bow Tie Group was founded in Greenville, South Carolina, where our agency first took root over a decade ago. What began as a small but mighty operation, quickly grew through word of mouth, creativity, and results. We later expanded to Charleston, South Carolina and after years of working with brands and businesses in the Southeast, we saw a unique opportunity to bring our creative strategy and storytelling to the Midwest, starting with Lancaster and Columbus, Ohio, expanding across the region’s small businesses and growing brands. In 2024, we officially expanded to Ohio, establishing a base in Lancaster and building partnerships in Columbus and throughout the Midwest, bringing our Charleston spirit and ten years of marketing excellence into a new, thriving region.

While The Bow Tie Group may be new to Ohio, our roots in Lancaster run deep. Matt, our co-founder, was born and raised in Baltimore, Ohio and later made Lancaster his home. His family still lives here and owns local businesses that are part of the community fabric.
